Shape young minds as a Cultural Language Teacher, focused on teaching the nsyilxwcən language and Okanagan cultural heritage to elementary students from K5 to G7. This impactful role is vital in promoting cultural identity and community values.
As a Cultural Language Teacher, you will lead curriculum development rooted in traditional values while ensuring students develop language skills through engaging instruction. You will work closely with classroom and support staff, embodying a team-teaching approach that fosters deep cultural appreciation and learning outcomes for every student.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create dynamic language and cultural lesson plans
• Supervise and mentor language assistants in instructional practices

Requirements:
• BC Teacher Certification or independent certificate
• Proven fluency in the nsyilxwcən language
• Knowledge of cultural practices and protocols
