Kalamalka Secondary is seeking an English Teacher for grades 8 and 9 with a continuing contract starting September 8, 2026. Bring your teaching expertise to inspire students until June 25, 2027.
This position requires a valid BC Teaching Certificate and eligibility for a Teachers Qualification Card. Applicants should possess a Bachelor of Education or equivalent with a focus on English, along with demonstrated knowledge of curricular competencies and resources. You will utilize diverse teaching methods and collaborate effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver English curriculum for grades 8 and 9
• Implement various assessment and teaching strategies
• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective management
• Integrate technology in lessons to support 21st-century learning
• Encourage inclusivity and differentiated instruction
Requirements:
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate and Teachers Qualification Card
