Position: Grade 2/3 Teacher Role - Hillview Elementary
Join Hillview Elementary as a part-time Primary Teacher for Grades 2/3 on Fridays. This 0.2 FTE role, starting September 8, 2026, emphasizes innovative teaching and classroom management.

As a temporary contract position, you will create a supportive and engaging atmosphere for primary students until June 25, 2027, or until the return of the incumbent. We value culturally diverse candidates, particularly those who self-declare Indigenous ancestry, to contribute to our classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality instruction in Grades 2/3

• Adapt lessons to meet varied student needs

• Foster strong relationships with students and parents

• Use technology effectively in teaching practices

• Implement assessments to enhance learning outcomes

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Degree in elementary education required

• Experience in teaching primary students

• Knowledge of contemporary instructional practices

• Understanding of First Nations Language & culture
