Temporary Primary Teacher Position

Ellison Elementary seeks a temporary Primary Teacher for a 0.2 FTE role starting September 8, 2026. This position will support students until June 25, 2027. Candidates should be skilled in classroom management and have a keen understanding of instructional practices suitable for primary education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ needs

• Maintain effective classroom management

• Collaborate effectively with parents and colleagues

• Implement technology in instruction and communication

• Assess student progress using appropriate evaluation tools

Requirements:

• BC Teaching Certificate and eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service

• Recognized degree in elementary education

• Training and current knowledge in primary education

• Strong interpersonal skills and appreciation for First Nations culture

• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction techniques
