Okanagan Waldorf School seeks a passionate Grade 6/7 teacher who thrives outdoors. Join a close-knit community and inspire children in a nature-based learning environment.
We are looking for an innovative educator with a Waldorf Certificate or BC Teaching certificate. The role involves teaching diverse students, fostering individual growth, and promoting respect and inquiry. Strong classroom management and professional relationships with parents are essential. This position requires collaboration in planning events and festivals and actively participating in the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Attend regular faculty and department meetings
• Participate in planning school-wide festivals
• Prepare student reports and meet with parents
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively
Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years of Waldorf class teaching experience
• Valid BC Teachers Regulation Branch certification
• Clear Criminal Record check
• Comfort in outdoor rural settings
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
