Position: BC Hydro Design Representative Role
Join BC Hydro in shaping the future of clean energy as a Distribution Design Representative. Utilize your design skills to support major electricity distribution projects across British Columbia.

This role focuses on overseeing the design and management of distribution projects, making you essential in delivering clean, reliable electricity to millions. You’ll engage in hands-on work that includes analyzing field data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders for optimal project outcomes. Your expertise will ensure that systems are designed with safety and operational efficiency in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform design work on overhead and underground systems

• Conduct field assessments for project validation

• Maintain communication with impacted stakeholders

• Ensure adherence to safety and construction codes

• Coordinate design projects effectively

Requirements:

• Completion of relevant high school courses

• 2 years of design experience in electrical utility

• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license

• Training in electrical fundamentals and BC Electrical Code

• Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology is a plus
