Location: Lake Country
Join the District of Lake Country as a permanent full-time Development Engineer, contributing to land development projects and engineering operations. This role focuses on project management, document interpretation, and compliance with engineering standards.
As a Development Engineer reporting to the Manager of Development Engineering, you will handle multiple projects, assess engineering reports, and ensure adherence to regulations. Your expertise in land title documents and development agreements will be critical for managing complex land use applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review engineering reports for compliance with policies
• Interpret land title documents and legal agreements
• Prepare servicing and development agreements
• Maintain project-related records and documentation
• Facilitate approvals based on project assessments
Requirements:
• University degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum five years’ experience in local government
• Valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s License
• Strong knowledge of legislative regulations
• Collaborative attitude with effective communication skills
