Evening Occupational Therapist Fanning Centre

Become an Evening Occupational Therapist at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre, dedicated to enhancing the lives of clients through tailored therapeutic interventions. Work as part of a collaborative health care team focused on continuing care.

This temporary full-time role is vital for promoting client-centered care among residents experiencing low stimulation in the evenings. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will assess clients’ needs and develop appropriate interventions that maximize their quality of life. Partner with interdisciplinary team members, including Recreation Therapists, to deliver comprehensive programming that addresses emotional and cognitive wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessments and individualized occupational therapy interventions

• Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members

• Design therapeutic evening programs aimed at boosting well-being

• Monitor resident progress and adjust care plans as needed

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of therapeutic initiatives

Requirements:

• Required Master’s or equivalent in Occupational Therapy

• Registered with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists

• Eligible for CAOT membership

• AADL Authorizer preferred

• Experience in continuing care settings is valuable
