Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging Department at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. The Medical Imaging Department consists of 4 general ultrasound rooms and 3 echo rooms. Services at VJH include Screening Mammography, Diagnostic Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Radiography, Fluoroscopy and Nuclear Medicine. General sonographers at VJH work on Philips and Canon equipment while Cardiac sonographers work on GE equipment.

This is a Relief Full Time (1.0) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
