Clinical Dietitian at Dr Fanning Centre

Elevate care for clients with neurological conditions at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre. As a Clinical Dietitian, you'll conduct nutrition assessments and implement care plans in a supportive team environment.

This temporary part-time role requires expertise in nutrition for individuals in sub-acute neuro rehabilitation. Collaborate closely with nursing, occupational therapy, and other healthcare professionals to optimize nutritional status and rehabilitation outcomes. You will provide individualized and group nutrition education tailored to client needs, ensuring they understand their dietary requirements for successful recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments using evidence-based practices

• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans

• Provide education on nutrition interventions for clients and families

• Manage enteral nutrition, including monitoring and adjustments

• Prioritize and organize workload across multiple units

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition

• Completed internship program with college registration

• Prior experience in clinical settings is advantageous

• Knowledge of dysphagia and enteral nutrition preferred

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
