Step into the Healthcare field as a Laboratory Assistant, responsible for the critical specimen collection process. This full-time position provides a platform to directly impact patient lives through effective care.
In this position, you will greet patients, perform necessary tests, and maintain high standards of data accuracy. Candidates should have completed a Medical Laboratory Assistant program or possess equivalent healthcare experience, particularly in phlebotomy and patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and explain the specimen collection process to patients
• Conduct phlebotomy and connect/disconnect monitoring equipment
• Execute special test collections and document results
• Foster client relationships with timely responses
• Prepare specimens for testing and transport
Requirements:
• Completion of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program
• Experience in phlebotomy or healthcare setting
• Strong communication and data entry skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in groups
• BC Driver’s License necessary
