Join Age Care as a part-time Recreation Worker in Lumby, BC, where you'll enhance residents' lives through meaningful recreation therapy services. This role involves assessing needs and implementing social engagement activities.

In this part-time position, you will report to the Executive Director or Recreation Manager. Your primary responsibilities include assessing residents’ interests, developing therapy goals, and supporting leisure activities. Collaborating with other team members is essential to ensure quality care and effective implementation of recreation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess residents’ needs for recreation therapy participation

• Develop and communicate therapy goals and treatment plans

• Collaborate with Recreation Assistants on activity implementation

• Ensure alignment of activities with individual treatment goals

• Maintain documentation and report on resident progress

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Recreation Therapy or related field

• Previous experience in healthcare or long-term care settings

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Eligibility for membership with a recognized Therapeutic Recreation association

• Current Vulnerable Sector Check required
