Make an impact with the City of Vernon as an IS Support Technician, where your technical skills will support essential city operations. This full-time position involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
In this role, you will provide both basic and intermediate support, executing tasks such as Active Directory administration, deploying technical products, and maintaining documentation. Your ability to communicate effectively will be vital in assisting users across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support for hardware and software setups
• Administer Active Directory and manage user permissions
• Support the City’s network and connected devices
• Document all technical processes and resolutions
• Assist with user training and technical support deployments
Requirements:
• A+ certification or equivalent IT education
• Minimum three years of relevant experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License for British Columbia
• Practical knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations
