Location: Lake Country
Join the District of Lake Country as a Casual Parks and Facilities Operator II focusing on arena operations. Ensure safe, clean recreational environments while maintaining facilities and supporting user groups.
This position reports to the Chief Operating Engineer and primarily operates within the municipal arena complex. You will clean and maintain buildings, manage ice surfaces, and assist with park facilities when necessary. A strong focus on customer service and operational integrity is essential to meet community needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain municipal buildings and grounds
• Maintain records and manage fee collection
• Prepare and uphold arena ice surface quality
• Assist with maintenance of other facilities
• Operate ice maintenance and refrigeration equipment
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education with two years of relevant experience
• Level 1 First Aid and Refrigeration Operator Certificates
• Valid BC Driver’s License (Class
5)
• Clear criminal record check
• Strong problem-solving skills for public interaction
