Location: Lake Country
Be part of the District of Lake Country as a Casual Parks and Facilities Operator II. Help maintain public spaces and ensure a safe environment for recreational activities.
This role requires a Grade 12 education and at least two years of experience in ice facilities or parks. The ideal candidate will operate the municipal arena, maintain its records, manage ice surfaces, and assist in general facility upkeep. You'll engage with user groups and ensure all events proceed on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain municipal buildings and grounds
• Prepare and maintain arena ice surfaces
• Operate ice maintenance and refrigeration equipment
• Keep accurate records for facility operations
• Support the maintenance of other facilities as needed
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and two years of relevant experience
• Level 1 First Aid and Refrigeration Operator Certificate
• Valid British Columbia Driver’s License (Class
5)
• Strong understanding of ice-making equipment
• Clear criminal record check
