Become part of The Salvation Army in Vernon as a Janitor. Your main tasks will involve cleaning and maintaining a welcoming space for clients and guests.
In this janitorial role, you will perform various cleaning duties at The Salvation Army’s facilities. Tasks will include dusting, vacuuming, and floor maintenance, alongside monitoring health and safety standards. Ensure schedules for garbage disposal are followed and contribute to the upkeep of external property grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Vacuum and sweep all carpeted and tiled areas
• Clean and polish sinks and restroom fixtures
• Spot clean walls and windows as needed
• Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies
• Clear snow and ice from sidewalks
Requirements:
• Up to 1 year of custodial experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Familiar with health and safety regulations
