Vernon Recreation Facility Operator IV

Join the City of Vernon as a Recreation Facility Operator IV, where your work will enhance community recreational experiences. This role combines technical maintenance and excellent customer service.

You will manage daily operations of both ice arenas and aquatic facilities, performing routine cleaning and minor repairs. Your responsibilities also include monitoring equipment performance and ensuring adherence to safety regulations. This permanent position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of facility users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform custodial tasks in arenas and aquatic areas

• Conduct regular maintenance on equipment

• Monitor ice and water quality standards

• Provide customer support and enforce regulations

• Prepare facilities for events and activities

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence

• Refrigeration Operators Certificate is essential

• Minimum one year of relevant experience

• Strong commitment to safety and service

• Capable of carrying out tasks independently and in a team
