Join The Salvation Army team in Vernon as a Custodial staff member. This temporary position performs essential cleaning duties to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for everyone.
The Salvation Army seeks dedicated candidates for a custodial role with opportunities for permanent employment. Responsibilities include dusting, floor cleaning, and managing common areas.
Experience with cleaning equipment and practices is essential to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain facilities in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dust and clean furniture, walls, and fixtures
• Operate custodial equipment like steam cleaners
• Empty garbage receptacles and manage recycling
• Clean and sanitize kitchens and restrooms
• Perform minor repairs and ensure building security
Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School
• Up to 1 year of custodial experience
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to lift and move up to 49 pounds
