Position OverviewThe Production Manager is responsible for managing the apparel production lifecycle from development through final delivery. This role ensures timelines are met, quality standards are upheld, and communication between vendors, internal teams, and customers remains clear and proactive.
This position requires strong technical garment knowledge, exceptional organization, and the ability to anticipate and solve problems before they impact delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the full production cycle from sample creation and issuance of purchase orders through completion of finished goods
- Communicate daily with overseas vendors to ensure on-time delivery and production milestones are met
- Maintain and update the shared Work in Progress (WIP) and Time & Action calendar
- Review fit, proto, PP, and TOP samples and specification sheets against customer and brand requirements
- Route and track samples to and from vendors and customers
- Ensure quality standards and construction expectations are consistently met
- Identify potential production risks and implement solutions proactively
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, logistics, and operations teams
- Support continuous process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Perform additional assignments and projects as needed
- Strong technical understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrics (knits and wovens)
- Experience managing overseas production and vendor communication
- Working knowledge of AIMS
360 ERP is required - Experience with Airtable is a significant plus, as it serves as a core operational backbone of our organization
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and shifting priorities
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive communication skills
- Proficiency in production tracking tools, spreadsheets, and shared calendars
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
