Role Overview
Registered Nurse working in a nursing home or home for the aged. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, supervising staff, and administering medications as prescribed.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients and advise the physician of any changes in patients' condition.
- Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
- Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Provide nursing care.
- Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Specialization in Geriatrics preferred.
- Certified in relevant courses or memberships.
1 to less than 7 months.
