Position: Canucks Autism Network Employment Support Role
Location: Lake Country

Empower Autistic youth with employment skills as an Employment Support Worker for the Canucks Autism Network. This part-time, casual position offers flexibility while supporting participants in the central Okanagan area.

Your role as an Employment Support Worker will involve overseeing up to three Autistic youth participating in the CAN-STEP program. You will customize job tasks, guide workplace interactions, and assist participants in mastering their duties. This position plays a crucial part in helping vulnerable populations overcome employment barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support CAN-STEP participants at various employer sites

• Adapt job duties using tailored strategies for each youth

• Teach workplace interactions and appropriate conduct

• Develop long-term strategies to foster independence

• Document participant progress in daily logs

Requirements:

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities

• Knowledge in career counseling or social services preferred

• Experience with Autistic individuals in employment settings is an asset

• Access to a vehicle is preferred

• Obtain Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks
