Position: Vernon Casual Support Worker Role
Join NEXUS Community Support Society as a Casual Community Support Worker in Vernon, BC, focused on empowering individuals through skill development and community engagement. This role is about making a measurable difference in clients' lives.

As a Community Support Worker, you will assist clients in achieving independence and personal goals by providing tailored support. This includes creating and evaluating individual support plans, facilitating social and recreational activities, and ensuring health and safety needs are met. You'll work collaboratively with families and agencies to maximize client well-being and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and evaluate individualized support plans for clients

• Deliver personalized support that fosters independence and inclusion

• Help clients with daily living activities, including crisis response

• Coordinate recreational and educational activities aligned with client goals

• Maintain accurate progress documentation for continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Related Human Services certificate is required

• At least one year of recent experience in support roles

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills essential

• Class 5 Driver’s License is a must

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
