This full-time position involves working closely with caregivers to develop tailored support plans and facilitate peer groups.
Your role will include coordinating with volunteers, community resources, and healthcare professionals to enrich the lives of those supporting others. Compassion and strong listening skills are essential to excel in this impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete and document caregiver intakes to craft support plans
• Provide one-to-one support via phone, in-person, or online
• Create and lead caregiver support groups, ensuring a safe environment
• Identify additional caregiver support needs in the North Okanagan
• Liaise with healthcare and community professionals for workshops
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in social services or related field
• Two years' experience with seniors or diverse populations
• Strong knowledge of healthy aging and community resources
• Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check
