Engage with your community as a Delivery Agent for Canada Post in Vernon, British Columbia. This temporary role involves outdoor work and being a crucial service provider.
As a temporary Delivery Agent, you will ensure that customers receive their mail and parcels on time. Your day will start with sorting at the depot before moving on to delivering items in varying weather conditions. Ideal candidates are those who love outdoor activities and thrive on serving their fellow Canadians.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sort and ready all packages for the day's deliveries
• Drive and operate a Canada Post delivery vehicle
• Distribute mail on foot or by vehicle within your route
• Return to depot to unload incoming packages
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with safe driving record
• Ability to regularly lift up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
• Willingness to work outdoors in different climates
• Availability to be on-call as needed
• Fluent in English or French
