Position: Transit Operator Role with Transdev
Transdev Canada is hiring Casual Relief Transit Operators in Vernon. Drive public transit vehicles while prioritizing safety and comfort for passengers throughout your shifts.

In this casual, unionized operator role, you'll engage with the community by ensuring safe transportation. Your day-to-day tasks will involve operating transit buses, following safety regulations, and assisting passengers with various inquiries. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and effective communication with dispatch will also be key components of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate public transit buses following company protocols

• Provide assistance and information to passengers

• Carry out detailed vehicle inspections before and after shifts

• Report any delays or mechanical issues to dispatch

• Keep vehicle interiors and exteriors clean and presentable

Requirements:

• Class 2 BC Driver's license with air brake endorsement

• Two years of driving experience required

• Clean driving record with no recent violations

• Strong ability in customer interaction

• Availability for flexible shifts involving early mornings and weekends
