The Japanese Bilingual Customer Service Coordinator supports customers and internal departments to ensure efficient and smooth business operations under the guidance of the Manager. The ideal candidate is a professional who can interact confidently with U.S. clients, coordinate effectively with the Japan headquarters, and respond proactively with good judgment and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Provide professional and efficient support for assigned corporate customer accounts
- Maintain and process documentation through secured customer portals
- Create quotes, process customer orders, and ensure timely communication with customers
- Provide regular status updates regarding backorders, mis-shipments, returns, and credits
- Escalate urgent or high-priority requests to Purchasing, Management, and Japan Headquarters as needed
- Coordinate between customers and internal Accounting on invoicing and payment-related matters
- Collaborate directly with Japan HQ, Technical Support, Sales, and Management to research and identify distributed products on behalf of customers
- Ensure accurate information flow and timely resolution through cross-functional collaboration
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service or account support experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience supporting B2B corporate customers is required
- Bilingual in Japanese, with conversational level or higher; experience communicating with Japan Headquarters is preferred
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Adobe document generation
- Self-motivated and proactive in learning and engaging in professional development
