The Laurel at Vernon Hills Memory Care, located in Vernon Hills, IL, is seeking a dedicated and passionate CNA to provide high-quality care to the residents in our community.

CNA Certification Required

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living in a manner that supports our person‑centered care philosophy.
• Complete resident rounds as assigned, reporting any resident care issues to the Nurse on duty.
• Receives report from the previous shift and medication aide.
• Reads the shift‑to‑shift report and shower schedule for information and changes before coming on shift. Documents in the shift‑to‑shift report book and ADL binder before going off shift.
• Provides personal care services as outlined in the individual services plans such as assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, positioning, assist to meals, feeding, change bed linens, laundry, etc.
• Assist in daily requirements and tasks as requested.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have IL State approved CNA Certification.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain current CPR certification.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working in Senior Living, Memory Care, Home Health or Long‑Term care environment.
• Has the ability to spend long periods on your feet and to ambulate quickly.
• Able to work independently and on your own from a day-to-day basis.
• Complete all appropriate documentation accurately and timely.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.

• Full Time and Part Time Needed. (All Shifts Needed)
