Licensed Clinician – Child Outpatient Clinic – Rockville, CT

Joining our team means you will contribute to building a community of strong, healthy families by providing a full range of behavioral health, early childhood, and youth development services in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut region.

You will coordinate all aspects of clinical treatment for assigned clients, engaging directly through individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention. You will render diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services, maintain client records, and collaborate fully with the clinical team.

We offer a starting salary of $67,200 (bilingual starting salary $69,200), a $5,000 sign‑on bonus, monthly performance‑based incentives, and agency loan repayment options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct services may include, but are not limited to:
    • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and engagement.
    • Determine DSM‑V diagnoses in consultation with supervisor, Medical Director, psychiatrist, or other licensed provider.
    • Develop treatment plans and service contracts.
    • Implement and modify treatment plans as needed.
    • Plan and facilitate discharge, including linkages to community support services.
    • Provide case‑management services.
    • Complete required clinical documentation in accordance with agency and program policies, HIPAA regulations, and funding sources.
    • Maintain productivity targets determined by service.
  • Participate and present in peer consultation and quality assurance reviews.
  • Collaborate with other clinical and administrative staff to respond to client and programmatic needs, implementing agency policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Partner with other program or clinical staff to identify and develop approaches addressing clients’ unmet needs or service gaps.
  • Acquire and maintain skills in evidence‑based models endorsed by the agency/program.
  • Work with Supervisor to identify and develop plans for professional growth.
  • Contribute to program functioning by assuming responsibility for special tasks or lead special projects as needed.
  • Participate in agency‑wide task forces, committees, or problem‑solving teams as appropriate.
  • Represent the Village in community groups or committees to enhance agency visibility and community linkages.
Education and Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or another licensed counseling degree.
  • State of Connecticut license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or psychologist).
  • Minimum of 2+ years of post‑graduate experience in an outpatient setting (depending on program).
  • Bilingual/bicultural skills preferred.
  • Cultural competency with a diverse population.
  • Strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills for individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Extensive experience working with culturally diverse populations across a wide age range and varied clinical presentations.
  • Knowledge of mental health, child welfare systems, and community resources.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while seeking consultation when needed.
  • Proficiency with word processing and general computer skills.
