• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practice, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and ensure accurate filling of prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Recommend items for sale, trade‑up, and companion items, and collect cash, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory and keep records, and check and price merchandise as directed.
• Assist with pharmacy systems entry of patient and drug data, verify medicine correctness, check for interactions, and support pharmacy workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and comply with company policies, procedures, and the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including those to physicians.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services timely and efficiently, and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
• Support the Pharmacy Department with inventory management, ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Assist with food item separation, product placement, and stock rotation using FIFO methods.
• Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and print services.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities, monitor orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers as they arrive.
• Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to ensure clean, neat store appearance.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program.
• Attend training, complete Performance and Professional Learning (PPL) courses requested by management, and acquire continuing education credits.
• Maintain knowledge and skills in healthcare and pharmacy, staying up to date with latest news and developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Prefer 6+ months of retail experience.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
