Tax Professional - Franchise

What you’ll do

As a seasonal Tax Professional at H&R Block, you’ll inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money. You’ll build and nurture client relationships that grow stronger each year.

You’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs, supported by an expert team and advanced training that will set you up for success.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and via virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships and other entities.
• Generate business growth and client retention, offering additional products and services.
• Provide IRS support, including tax notice services and audit representation.
• Mentor and support teammates in a fast‑paced environment.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax, including individual and complex returns.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and working in fast‑paced environments.
• Comfort with virtual tools – video, phone, chat – and effective communication in person, via phone and in writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience with tax planning, audit support, and sales/marketing is valuable.
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
