Day shift, full time, regular, non exempt, up to 15% travel, no telework

• Provide highly complex rehabilitative therapy, assist in program development, and execute assigned therapy plans.
• Assist in screening, interviewing, and onboarding Rehabilitation Technicians.
• Facilitate therapeutic activities, including games, recreation, fitness, swimming, sports, crafts, and team building.
• Instruct patients in self‑care, independent living, decision making, finances, maintenance, and health hygiene.
• Maintain relationships with local colleges and community resources for guest speakers and college tours.
• Observe patients and document progression and behavior in progress notes.
• Operate state vehicle for patient transport, ensuring safety, proper logging, and vehicle inspections.
• Attend meetings, participate in special projects (e.g., dances, holiday parties), and organize equipment and supplies.
• Research and develop curricula, coordinate programming approvals, and maintain updated treatment plans.
• Assist in disaster response or COOP activation as required.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with individuals with mental illness or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Experience developing treatment and support plans preferred.
• Valid Texas driver license (or obtain within 90 days); certified CPR.
• Certified Rehab Therapy Technician (PTA) or obtain within one year.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, mental health regulations, and supervisory responsibilities.
• Computer competency and proficiency with therapeutic equipment.
• Strong communication, instruction, and documentation skills.
