Golf Outside Services Assistant

Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club is a private member‑owned club, recognized as a Platinum Club® of America, located in the Town of Orchid, just north of Vero Beach, and beautifully situated on 600 acres from the ocean to the river.

The Outside Service Assistant provides all members and guests with Bag, Cart, Range, and on‑course services. This candidate must know about the game of golf and its rules, be friendly, discreet, and courteous, and possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of and ability to perform required roles in emergencies while conducting themselves in a professional and friendly manner.

• Trains service employees in their assigned duties.
• Maintains proper golf cart repair records.
• Maintains bag storage inventory.
• Assists professional staff in tournament administration when needed.
• Assists in maintaining bag number control for bins.
• Alerts the Golf Shop Staff when members add or remove bags from club storage.
• Ensures that members and guests have an enjoyable day at the club when they visit.
• Reports any damaged, broken, or misused equipment to the Golf Shop Staff as soon as possible; records the damage and by whom.
• Inspects the quality of work, club and bag carts, and practice ball cleaning.
• Assigns service employees to daily duties and shift leader.
• Is alert to the weather or approaching inclement weather.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Requires basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
