Position: General Manager (Site)

Job Summary

The Site General Manager leads a designated travel center, coaching a dynamic leadership team and ensuring profitable, safe, and high‑quality operations. The role is responsible for overall site performance, employee development, safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.

In This Role, You Can Expect to:
  • Supervise the management team and overall operations of the designated location
  • Demonstrate professional demeanor and integrity, inspiring all team members to do the same
  • Set and achieve goals related to people, profit, safety, quality of service, and site appearance
  • Coach and model excellent customer service principles to all team members, including direct customer contact
  • Partner with Profit Center Managers and Talent Acquisition to identify and develop top management talent
  • Monitor key performance indicators and communicate improvement opportunities to the District Manager
  • Implement and maintain safety programs to protect customers and staff
  • Audit performance of PCMs, conduct appraisals, and recommend advancement and merit increases
  • Address customer complaints promptly and reduce recurrence through employee and customer input
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations affecting operations
  • Submit timely reports, personnel records, timesheets, price surveys, and other required documents
  • Oversee operations of a center that may run 24 hours/365 days and manage multiple profit centers
  • Safeguard Company property, equipment, funds, and merchandise while executing loss‑prevention and audit policies
  • Control operating expenses within established budgets
  • Ensure accurate time records and compliance with wage and hour obligations for non‑exempt staff
  • Implement programs that recognize outstanding customer service performed by team members
  • Develop succession plans with the District Manager and provide career‑growth opportunities for employees
  • Forecast total site results and achieve budgeted site EBITDA
  • Complete required lead certification for managed restaurant brands
  • Ensure all required training is completed within 90 days, including federal/state/local law and company policy training
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required;
    Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with proven results
  • Proficient in planning and analysis (e.g., P&L, coverage ratio, budgets)
  • Ability to perform non‑management functions when needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS software, and operational tools
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and required insurance coverage

Pay Range

$75,000–$85,000 annually. Pay depends on responsibilities, duties, and experience.
