• Unit: 2 East Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) – Cardiac Stepdown/Observation
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown
• Start Date: January 20, 2026
• End Date: July 21, 2026
• Duration: 26-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1350 – $1380
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Scrub Color: White
• Charting System: EPIC
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

• Minimum 18 months of recent telemetry or acute care nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or cardiac stepdown RN experience required
• Strong experience with vasoactive drips required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (no pending licenses accepted)
• Certifications:
  
  American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS and ACLS (active at submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Ability to float to all 3 hospitals within 20 miles as needed
• Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty (from assignments worked in the past 12 months)
• Completion of onboarding modules prior to start (time sensitive)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
• Acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation (2 attempts max)
• First-time travel nurses accepted

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and observation unit patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products and manage cardiac drips (no titration)
• Perform central and peripheral line care and management
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed
• Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units or hospitals within scope to meet facility needs
