Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef at The Moorings Yacht & Country Club located in Vero Beach, FL. The Sous Chef will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, participate in meal preparation, and ensure high-quality culinary standards. Responsibilities include menu planning, staff supervision, maintaining food safety and cleanliness, and managing inventory and supplies. The role requires collaboration with the culinary team to consistently deliver exceptional dining experiences to members and guests.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years culinary and kitchen management experience.
  • Culinary skills including food preparation, menu development, and plating techniques
  • Expertise in food safety protocols, kitchen cleanliness, and inventory management
  • Leadership and team management skills to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with the culinary team and management
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of diverse culinary styles and cuisines is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
