The Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging each guest to determine their individual needs, conducting cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining overall store cleanliness, and completing tasks as assigned. The BA supports leadership through performance (service/retail sales and in‑store events), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). Passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and strong product knowledge are essential.

• Contribute to store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, answering product questions, informing about promotions, and recommending complementary Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and online orders courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and the guest service experience.
• Book and support the execution of services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services, and be knowledgeable about their ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program and the Ulta Beauty app with guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Keep assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing using Ulta Beauty’s technology.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma (preferred).
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
• Passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficiency with basic technology (Point of Sale system, Apple devices).
• Strong customer relationship building skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and independent work skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Continuous lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
