Mission and key priorities of the role

You will play a vital role in ensuring quality and innovation on the paper products portfolio and to meet customers  expectations on bespoke products. By performing various tests and analyses you aim to improve product quality, develop bespoke products for our customers or support a brand-new product development.
Responsibilities Supports the R&D Innovation team with Lab analysis and prototyping

Develop and test paper solutions (new raw material, new process, new surface treatments, etc) following our Stage-Gate process

Conduct a variety of tests to evaluate paper properties, such as tensile strength, thickness, brightness, opacity, and moisture content, using specialized equipment (tensile testers, IR and UV-Vis spectrophotometer, moisture analyzers, etc.) to perform tests accurately

Analyze, report out and record test results, identifying any deviations from quality standards

Database analysis and samples archive management

Update the CRM system according to product development process

Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced to ensure accurate and reliable test results

Identify and report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed

Comply with internal safety rules and procedures including raw materials use and storage
Who Are We Looking For High school diploma/bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and/or Paper engineering or strong working experience in similar fields

Ability to use laboratory equipment and software for data analysis and a strong willingness to learn

Previous working experience in the Paper Industry (Production, Quality, Laboratory, Research) or paper converting is a plus Strong analytical skills, rigorous and detail-oriented

Highly motivated with the ability to work independently

Team working approach championing service & goal orientation

Fluent in English – as a plus
