About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing automation and robotics company that designs and builds custom machinery and robotic integration solutions for manufacturers across North America. With ambitious growth goals and a commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions, the company is looking for talented individuals who take pride in their work and want to make a meaningful impact. This is an opportunity to join a hands-on, collaborative team where your ideas matter, your work makes a tangible difference, and you can grow alongside the business.

What

You'll Do
  • Develop, review, and test PLC programs that control automated manufacturing systems and robotic cells.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and assembly teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Participate in machine testing, debugging, and commissioning to ensure systems perform as intended.
  • Take ownership of your work from initial programming through final implementation, seeing projects through to successful completion.

If you enjoy watching your designs come to life and seeing the results of your work on the production floor, this role offers the opportunity to do just that.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of PLC programming experience using ladder logic and/or structured text.
  • Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
  • Background in manufacturing automation, robotics, custom machinery, or machine building.
  • Ability to define technical requirements, develop solutions, and validate system performance through testing.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on manufacturing or shop environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A sense of ownership and pride in developing reliable systems that perform in real-world production environments.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with common electromechanical systems and components.
  • Hands-on experience with machine testing, debugging, and commissioning.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
  • Bring energy, initiative, and follow-through to your work.
  • Enjoy learning new technologies and taking on increasing responsibility.
  • Prefer a collaborative, team-oriented environment where everyone contributes.
  • Take ownership of challenges rather than passing them along.
  • Care about the quality, reliability, and real-world performance of the systems you develop.
Interested in building the technology that drives modern manufacturing?

This is an opportunity to put your PLC programming expertise to work on custom automation and robotics projects while growing your skills and making a lasting impact.
