Machine Designer

Overview

Machine Designer role at Latitude Digital Marketing — 100% employee-owned team. First shift.

• Operate independently under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
• Make product and machine design decisions that impact manufacturability, efficiency, and safety.
• Work with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, tooling, and automation) to ensure design practicality and compliance.
• Identify and implement improvements with minimal supervision.
• Design and revise production tooling, machines, fixtures, and gages to support manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to interpret customer specifications and modify designs for optimal production efficiency.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable safety standards and conduct safety risk assessments during all phases of design.
• Develop and implement control software (PLC, HMI, VFD) and maintain documentation for troubleshooting.

• Physical – capable of lifting 40 lbs safely or with assistance; capable of standing and bending over for long periods while performing manual labor with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Working hours – full-time.
• Personal traits – good communication skills with positive teamwork and safety attitude; conscientious attention to detail and accuracy while able to multi-task and troubleshoot.
• Willing to travel occasionally.
