About the Role

Are you a compassionate, organized, and dedicated nursing leader looking to make a true impact in senior care? At Four Winds Manor, we are on the lookout for a rockstar Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead our dynamic care team!

As our ADON, you will serve as a vital operational partner to our Director of Nursing and Administrator, steering daily clinical operations, inspiring nursing staff, and ensuring our residents receive top-tier, personalized care every single day. If you balance regulatory savvy with real heart for clinical excellence, we want you on our leadership team!

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
  • Lead & Support Clinical Operations: Partner with the DON to oversee daily nursing functions, coordinate care service programs, and ensure seamless clinical delivery across short-term rehab, long-term, memory/mental health, and palliative care.
  • Inspire & Build Your Team: Participate in recruiting, selecting, scheduling, and mentoring top nursing talent to ensure optimal coverage and high-quality care.
  • Survey & Quality Master: Stay ahead of the curve on federal, state, and local regulations, leading Quality Assurance/Process Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and preparing the team for stellar annual state health surveys.
  • Care Planning & Admissions: Conduct resident intake assessments, manage MDS and care planning, and collaborate with managed care and insurance providers to advocate for resident needs.
  • On-Call & Leadership Coverage: Maintain off-shift clinical support systems and step into overall facility management support when the DON is out.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven Clinical Expertise: High proficiency with state and federal regulations, survey prep, QAPI theory, and MDS/Care Planning processes.
  • Exceptional Leadership: Ability to supervise, evaluate, and encourage a diverse nursing staff while fostering a positive, compassionate environment.
  • Great Communicator: Clear, empathetic communication skills when interacting with residents, families, physicians, vendors, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Problem Solver: Calm under pressure during emergency responses, smart with resource allocation, and quick to address performance or operational needs.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
  • A supportive leadership team where your clinical insight is valued across every department.
  • The chance to make a deep, daily difference in the lives of geriatric residents, rehab patients, and their families.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and collaborative leadership development.
