We're hiring a Bar Manager for Ian's Pizza Verona to help lead our team, learn new skills, and have fun while earning $21.50/hour+ and benefits.

Your Impact

You're the leader of the bar team! Keeping the energy high, the service smooth, and the vibe unmistakably Ian's. You'll work up with the GM and AGM to make sure your crew has the training, tools, and support they need to crush every shift.

A big part of your gig is training and developing your crew. You'll be the lead trainer for the bar: showing staff the ropes, giving helpful feedback, and running quarterly reviews. There's also the behind-the-scenes work: meetings, responding to messages, tackling special projects, and working with leadership to make your department run like a well‑oiled machine.

Additionally, the bar manager will be responsible for product ordering and maintenance, a basic knowledge of craft beers and liquor. Must have a good understanding of drinks, understanding of how to craft original cocktails is a bonus but not required!

What You'll Bring To The Manager Team
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • 2+ years of bar‑specific experience.
  • Must have a valid Operator's License or be able to renew or get license upon hire.
  • Must complete a food safety certification course within 6 months.
  • Cross‑trained and regularly able to perform all general staff positions within the restaurant and bar (Front of House, Kitchen, and Shift Lead) within 6 months.
  • Embrace and embody the 2030 Vision, Company Values, Ian's Standards for Customer Service, Food Quality, and the Big Five Code of Conduct (Awareness, Connection, Generosity, Dependability, Effort).
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods. To bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. To use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business.
  • English proficiency is required. Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus!
  • Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant for a variety of shift times, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
Bar Manager Scheduling

Working 35-40 hours, you'll split your time between 30-35 hours on the floor and 5-10 hours handling the behind-the-scenes magic like projects, admin tasks, and meetings. Any time over 40 is paid as overtime.

Your schedule will drop 2-4 weeks at a time so you can plan your life and your pizza intake accordingly 😂🍕🤤.

The action happens on evenings and weekends! The ovens are roaring, the line's bumping, and the energy's high. So, we'll need you in the mix. You'll tag-team with the rest of the managers to handle emergencies and jump in when coverage is needed.
