Under the direction of the Foreman, we’re looking for a Concrete Finisher responsible for safely assisting in the placement of concrete and final finishing of concrete surfaces, and performing other duties as assigned by the Foreman or management.

- Projects will vary by location, requiring reliable transportation and willingness to travel to any job site as needed. Our projects are typically located throughout Dane County.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- A Class A CDL is strongly desired.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Prior construction experience preferred.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Able to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
- Can tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments, and can crawl in close quarters to strip concrete forms.
- Member of a local trade union, or willingness to become a union member is required. Union membership is not required prior to hire.
- Smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is level.
- Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges, and parking lots.
- Arrange the concrete forms and prepare surface.
- Level surfaces by using special blades, making sure all lumps and bubbles are smoothed over.
- Use wood or plastic forms to shape the concrete and hold it until it sets.
- Smooth high spots and fill depressions.
- Make concrete beams, columns, and panels.
- Finish corners by hand.
- Use machines that vibrate concrete to fill air pockets.
- Knowledge of and ability to safely use crane hand signals.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs unassisted.
- Able to shoot grades.
