Equipment Operator, Skill

Gray Ohio Valley, Versailes KY, is looking for an Equipment Operator.

• Excavate, move or grade earth on job site.
• May be required to load or unload equipment, earth and materials onto trailer, dump truck, etc.
• Basic knowledge and capability of installing underground pipe (ADS, RCP, PVC) and fittings.
• Checking and shooting grades and elevations.
• Communicate well with Supervisor and team members.
• Respect company, client and subcontractor property.
• Care and account for company tools, materials and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as lubrication, fueling, cleaning, checking oil and water.
• Operate and inspect equipment, perform daily inspections, diagnose minor defects, examine parts for damage or excessive wear, and maintain logs and records for maintenance and insurance purposes.
• May occasionally perform concrete form work, concrete finishing, back filling, tying re-bar, edge forming, and installing pipe.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Energetic, self‑motivated individual who enjoys a team environment and has a passion for collaboration and career development.

Regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud. Overtime and travel may be required.

This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.
