About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Manual Machinist / Workshop Engineer to play a key role in supporting both workshop and maintenance engineering activities across the production facility.
This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same, you’ll be involved in machining, general engineering support, and preventative/reactive maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate manual lathes and manual milling machines to manufacture precision components
* Support workshop engineering tasks including fabrication and modification of parts
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment and plant
* Diagnose mechanical issues and deliver effective repairs in a timely manner
* Work alongside the engineering team to improve processes and machine uptime
* Ensure workshop and machine safety standards are upheld at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Manual Machinist, with competent use of manual lathes and manual mills
* Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance engineering
* Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
* Practical workshop skills including fitting, fabrication, and problem solving
* Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude
