An exciting opportunity has arisen at Crane Valley Golf Club to join our Greenkeeping Team
. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Greenkeeper to assist in the maintenance and ongoing development of our golf course.

About the Club:

Comprising an 18-hole Valley Course, an academy course, driving range, and short game practice areas, Crane Valley Golf Club is highly regarded locally. Set in the beautiful Dorset countryside along the River Crane, the club has recently undergone significant improvements and proudly hosted the Dorset County Championships in 2024. Following excellent feedback, there is a real buzz around the club, and we are excited to welcome a new member to the team.

The role:

You will play a key role in delivering:

  • Daily presentation of the golf course to the standards expected by our members and guests, with particular attention to greens, tees, and bunkers

  • Preparation of the Valley Course for key club and county competitions

  • Preparation and maintenance of the Woodland Course and practice facilities

  • An annual programme of improvements, including agronomic surface refinement and course construction projects

Desired attributes:
  • Full UK driving licence

  • NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf (or working towards)

  • PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates (advantageous)

  • CS30/31 certificates (advantageous)

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong understanding of safe working practices

  • Good knowledge of modern turf grass machinery

  • A sound understanding of the game and the rules of golf

Previous greenkeeping experience is advantageous but not essential. A willingness to work outdoors and undertake early starts is essential.

This is a permanent, full-time role, offering 40 hours per week, with 1 in 3 weekends required (4 hours, paid).
