Part time - Patient Coordinator
OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented part time Patient Coordinator to join our imaging facility team. This person will work 20-22 hours a week. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for our patients from the moment they schedule their appointment to the completion of their visit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, a passion for patient care, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.

- Patient Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments, ensuring optimal use of facility resources and timely patient care. - Insurance Verification:
Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; communicate coverage details to patients as needed. - Appointment Management:
Monitor the schedule daily to identify cancellations and proactively backfill open slots to maintain efficiency. - Patient Communication:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients—answering calls, responding to inquiries, and providing clear, empathetic guidance. - Data Entry & Record Keeping:
Accurately input patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system and maintain up-to-date records. - Collaboration:
Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination. - Customer Service:
Provide a warm, welcoming environment for patients and their families, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years in a healthcare or medical office setting, preferably in radiology or imaging services. - Knowledge:
Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in scheduling software and EMR systems
