Duties
Serves as the Senior Logistics Planner Liaison for a designated organization/area of responsibility.
Coordinates and advises the Command Planners on DLA Troop Support’s ability to enhance combat readiness through the integrated application of logistics resources and capabilities.
Prepare and finalize Situation Reports (SITREPS), point papers, trip reports, staff reports, and finalized Operation Plans (OPLANs).
Conduct extensive analysis and planning to develop plans and strategies for contingency actions, completing all planning phases.
Collaborate with functional specialists to ensure adequate provisions for manpower, supplies, equipment, and services are available to meet specific needs.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience directly related to this position; for GS‑13 level, one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑12 level or equivalent under other federal pay systems.
Assessing the effectiveness and quality of complex logistics support plans, annexes and exercise scenarios used in contingencies.
Preparing Situation Reports (SITREPs), point papers, trip reports and staff reports, and other related planning documentation.
Organizing and presenting recommendations and program changes relating to the planning cycle.
Engaging in all phases of the planning process to augment a full range of logistical troop support, medical, services, construction and engineering capabilities.
Utilizing knowledge of relevant logistical policies and service regulations to conduct all phases of plan development.
Experience includes paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
