District Support Pharmacist PT – Part Time

Job Purpose and SummaryAs a District Support Pharmacist (DSP), you model CVS Health’s values, cultivate a culture of excellence, and act as a role model in each pharmacy you support. You cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, support pharmacy operations, and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager, Rx District Leader, and district teams to deliver safe, accurate, and patient-centered medication therapy.
Responsibilities- Lead patient health by dispensing, counseling, and immunizing safely and appropriately.
- Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, overseeing the pharmacy and acting as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts.
- Support safe, accurate prescription fulfillment by directing the pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
- Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
- Enhance patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, coaching the pharmacy team to provide compassionate care, and proactively resolving insurance and medication issues.
- Offer and deliver immunizations, engaging and supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
- Manage inventory effectively by guiding the pharmacy team to follow inventory best practices, with special focus on protecting cold chain products.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
- Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, completing company‑required trainings and CMEs, and seeking opportunities to expand knowledge.
- Deliver pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services (e.g., COVID/Flu, hormonal contraception) where permissible.
- Comply with all federal, state, professional, and ethical standards, CVS Health policies, controlled substance dispensing, recordkeeping, and privacy regulations.
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
- 1–2 years of related pharmacy or customer service experience.

Pay RangeTypical hourly pay: $60.00 – $73.00 per hour.
