Merchandising Sales Associate

The Field Activity Support Team (FAST) Team Member is responsible for traveling to stores within an assigned district to own and execute “start to finish” tasks such as planograms, merchandise and fixture assembly, and signage maintenance. The FAST Team Member will interact with customers and team members, delivering a Legendary Customer Experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, and overtime as needed.
• Communicate proactively with the District FAST Supervisor regarding work completion, issues, and solutions.
• Complete planograms, resets, and store layout initiatives accurately and timely.
• Maintain visual merchandise standards and perform store-specific measurements.
• Complete cycle counts and the Tractor Way top cap process.
• Hang store signage and assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs.
• Review planogram integrity and perform detailed recovery.
• Provide Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
  Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, and Add Value.
• Ensure a memorable shopping experience that sets us apart from the competition.
• Provide peak coverage as needed, e.g., Day After Thanksgiving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Prior retail and/or merchandising experience required. Knowledge in farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding is preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge in farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills with an ethical approach to resolving issues.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor with moderate noise; outdoor lots with hard surfaces.
• Shifts typically no less than 4 hours, possibly exceeding 8 hours.
• Travel between store locations using personal vehicle; long periods expected.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and promotion of a safe work environment.

Physical Requirements

• Travel as needed; ability to push/pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with equipment.
• Lift or reach overhead; stand, kneel, twist, crouch, and climb ladders.
• Operate store equipment; read, write, and count accurately.
• Handle birds/poultry; operate all necessary equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; move merchandise throughout the store.
