Senior Accountant

MLW CPAs is a busy mid-sized firm with 4 partners and two offices located in Victoria and on Salt Spring Island. We offer our clients a full range of accounting and tax services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in public practice. This position is located in Victoria, standard hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with overtime expected in March and April. Based on individual circumstances, hours can be negotiated.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following duties :

• Preparation of corporate, personal, estate & trust tax returns
• Financial statement preparation
• Partnerships & proprietor ships
• Other general accounting related tasks

Skills and experience required:

• Public Practice experience required
• CPA or CPA student
• Experience with Caseware, Profile, Sage, Quick Books
• Adherence to high standards of professional and ethical conduct
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Well organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet regular deadlines
